Among others these include lemon oil, tea tree oil, orange oil, thyme oil, rosemary oil, oil of clove, lavender oil, cinnamon oil, pepper oil and juniper oil. Since all of them have strong anti-bacterial action, they can be used to clean a bathroom or a kitchen, for example. What does make the oils so effective? Mainly, its power is owned to the organic compounds such as phenols, terpenes and aldehydes. Thanks to them, the aromatic substances are able to eliminate bacteria that constantly multiply in our home.
How to Disinfect with Essential Oils?
There are numerous ways to disinfect home with the aid of essential oils. However, the most popular are diffusion, polishes and homemade mixtures. Bear in mind that you mustn’t use essential oils to disinfect computers, TVs, smartphones and furniture.
Place the diffusors where sick people spend their time (a bedroom) or where a lot of people tend to gather regularly (a hall). For cold diffusion use lemon oils and all other oils that have anti-inflammatory functions. For hot diffusion use the following oils: cinnamon, thyme, oregano and tea tree oil.
It’s also advisable to use polishes and homemade cleaning mixtures. Thanks to them, you can disinfect door handles, flat surfaces, sinks, tiles and the around the toilet area. All the bacteria will be removed with lemon oil.
